Privacy Policy
Lib13 Inc. ("Lib13", "we", "us") provides security consulting services, including SOC 2 readiness, HIPAA security programs, AI security reviews, and penetration testing. This policy explains what we collect on lib13.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the Site only. Information we receive while performing services for a client is governed by our agreement with that client.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you email us or book a call, we collect what you provide, such as your name, email address, company, and anything you choose to include. Booking a call happens on a Google Calendar scheduling page, which receives the details you enter there.
- Information collected automatically. Like most sites, our servers and analytics tools receive your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics.
Please do not send passwords, credentials, personal health information, or other sensitive data through the Site or the contact form.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and discuss possible work together.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to understand how it is used.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Service providers and third parties
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the Site and provides security and performance services.
- Google provides web analytics (Google Analytics), web fonts (Google Fonts), and our appointment scheduling (Google Calendar) and email. Your browser sends requests, including your IP address, to Google when these load.
- Content delivery networks (such as cdnjs and Font Awesome) serve scripts, styles, and icons used by the Site.
These providers have their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lib13, our clients, or others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Cookies and analytics
We use analytics cookies to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the Site.
Retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and manage the business relationship, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, unless the law requires longer. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics settings.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including HTTPS for the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, such as those in California and other U.S. states, the United Kingdom, and the European Economic Area. To make a request, email privacy@lib13.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
Children
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International visitors
Lib13 is based in the United States. If you access the Site from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
